Sung La valley – A peaceful and delicate village of Hagiang

Sung La valley is in highway 4C, it is the central part of Ha Giang land, 20km from Dong Van district, anyone who come to Ha Giang will go through it. Sung La valley lies between the rugged mountains, dark color.

The beautiful village  has three ethnics living together here consist of Lo Lo ethnic, Mong ethnic and Han ethnic.

The village existed among the romantic valley, with 61 households living in ancient wall houses, the house was made almost 100 years ago. The process for buildings a house of the people living in the North in general and the people living here in particular are 100% handmade. The tools reflect for their lifestyle is an interesting discovery for tourists as they prove for the hardworking of the people living here.Therefore,this palace attacts many photographers, filmmakers and It is also the origination for composing for many works of art, for examplel: Lung Cam village has been selected as the starting film “Story of Pao. “This film has won the award”The Golden Kite “of the Vietnam Cinema Association.  Since then Sung La has become a popular destination for travelers looking for something different and of course movie buffs. So in recent years, this place becomes one of the famous destinations that tourists can not ignore when traveling in Ha Giang.

Like other villages of minority people, villagers plant corn and other staples. But what is different here is that there are rose fields that cover almost all of the nearby area, with harvested roses will be taken to big cities like Hanoi. The temperate weather is perfect for rose planting but the magnificent scene of millions of red roses opening up their velvet petals to receive the sunlight is just an illusion as villagers will harvest the bud to sell to big city dwellers.
